Liquidation Services deals primarily with liquidation of financially distressed businesses such as companies and close corporations, either through compulsory (or creditor's liquidation) and voluntary (or shareholders' liquidation) as well as sequestrations of individuals, including voluntary surrender of estate; divorce receivership, dissolution of partnerships and trust etc.
Labour & Employment disputes includes advice on drafting employment contracts, disciplinary and grievance procedures. Chairing disciplinary hearings and advise on disciplinary codes and applicable provisions of the LRA, the Employment Equity Act and Basic Conditions of Employment Act and render advice on the procedures of conciliation and arbitration in all labour disputes at the CCMA, Labour Court, Bargaining councils, Trade Union. etc.
Corporate Rescue and Restructuring or compromise is a provision in the new Companies Act, which creates an opportunity to analysis and assess financially distressed businesses to restructure its affairs in order to provide an alternative to liquidation.
Alternative Dispute Resolution & Arbitration are mechanism within our law which provides parties to resolve their disputes in a manner that is less time consuming and inexpensive. These disputes can occur in any business environment such as partners behaving badly with each other, members in deadlock situations as regards the future conduct of the business etc.
